About this project
This coffered ceiling is the centerpiece of the room, and it had gone flat and tired. The oak grid was refinished to a rich, even tone, and the panels between the beams were repainted in a clean warm white. Sharpening the contrast that makes a coffered ceiling worth looking up at.
The challenge
Two finishes meeting in a grid: stained wood against painted panels, with dozens of clean edges between them, all overhead.
